Does anyone know a good place to get an amp custom installed in a Lexus. I want to buy it and get it installed at the same place. I looked at Tweeters in Crossroads but their amps are high as hell....

IF you decide you want to buy and amp, and then have it installed elsewhere, I can do it.

I do custom installs and have a lot of references here on TWW. Have been for almost 5 years now.
I work with Fiberglass, Acrylic, Wood, and metal if needed. My most recent install was an $8k job.
My rates are usually about half of a brick and mortar store.
My car...

That top one looks much better than the cardboard mock-up you did.

<user>ACQ07<user> Tweeters is going to be high because they have a lot of high end shit. BB and CC are both cheaper installs and cheaper amps. If you find an amp at Tweeters, chances are it will out perform an amp 'rated' twice as high at BB or CC. An installer from BB or CC can walk in with no professional experience while Tweeters will probably be better trained and better industry experts.

If you don't have the amp yet, get it off of ebay.

why would you have two different size subwoofers?

Originally, they played different frequencies. They were crossed over, so that the 12 played from 50hz and down, while the 8 played from 50-100hz. This was to create balanced mid-bass, and then blow the bottom out.

Now, the system is on a switch. The 8 plays for normal listening and balanced sound. Then, when I am showing off, I flip on the 12'' and shake the earth.

ok

but it seems like a good set of midbass will do that without taking up so much space

and I was able to listen to a 13w7 on my amp at .75 ohm, and it was crazy, them's some nice expensive ass subs

My fonts are $500+ speakers. I just like bass, so the 8 added a nice rounding around 60-80 hz range.

to the OP

What is the impedance you need?

how much space do you have?

what is your price range? what is it powering?
