I am trying to use contribute on RCN. When I try and get it to connect to my folder on the school server it keeps giving me an error message saying:

Contribute cannot verify your connection

here is what i am putting in: /afs/unity.ncsu.edu/users/s/srhondro/www

Any help would be greatly appreciated

yeah i can log on fine to the server using sftp then my id and password. The problem is on the next window that comes up when I am trying to specify which folder my files are in or where the actual website is. My link and page i oringinally created works fine but now it seems as though i can't figure out how to access it with the correct file path.

if you login over SFTP it should take you straight to your home directory in your AFS space, you don't need to specify the full path.

Contribute is a real hassle sometimes. Call up the IT department of the college you are doing work for, and they can help. It works funny with unix file systems and permissions.

Edit: Ooops. Didn't realize COntribute was offered to students at this time. Call 515-help.
