ok i've never been one to claim genius on PC recording but i have some shit setup now and if anyone has any tips that would be great. At the moment it's directly into my audigy's 1/4" line-in. I have so many knobs on this acoustic pickup I have nfi where to start.

i just use an old zoom 9150 effects processor for both guitar and bass and go straight to the sound card input. i use sonic foundry acid that came with the computer to record/mix, and the free version of fruity loops for drum tracks. it works out ok.

i'd just monkey around with the pickup until you get the sound you're looking for. avoid turning up the master (assuming that's the output level) too high to avoid clipping/overdriving your sound card. it shouldn't hurt anything, it will just sound fuzzy.
