You're best bet is to spend $20 on one of those prepaid phones and unlock it. Just do a quick search on google and there are step-by-step instructions for free on how to do it with the prepaid phones. 4/28/2007 3:00:43 PM |

dude, the prepaid phones ARE actual phones. when you unlock them, they work just like a regular phone would. 4/28/2007 5:45:11 PM |

treo's would hardly be considered normal phones.
that being said, i have a GSM treo 650 that i'm not using anymore since i got my cingular 8525. there's a small scratch on the front, but other than that, it's in awesome condition. comes with charger, usb cradle, and a case.
$200 and it's yours, i'll deliver. comes in the box with the manuals and stuff. 4/28/2007 5:52:10 PM |

A prepaid phone is a regular phone with that works off of a certain "prepaid" sim card. When the phone is unlocked, it turns "regular" as in it will work with any SIM card. You'll find that many "prepaid" phones are also available as "regular" phones you can get when signing a contract through cingluar. There is no difference between a prepaid phone and a "regular" phone. For instance a motorola RAZR or even a TRIO can be offered as prepaid. When they are unlocked, prepaid no longer has any meaning or effect on the phone. The phones are now "regular". Hope that puts things in a better perspective but who am I to talk. I'm just a 3 year old trying to save a 21 year old a little money.

Only today though. If you click on that link tomorrow it most likely won't be a phone. 4/29/2007 6:14:15 PM |
