So, I just saw a preview for this on CBS. It's a Pirate reality show done by Mark Burnett. 16 pirates go on a treasure hunt. Could be good but since it's done by Burnett.. who knows...

now this is a great guilty pleasure. the first 30 minutes of the episode were okay. the mission was kinda lame but once we got to see how the show functions with the treasure, I could tell this will be good. real strange to see everyone pretend to be pirates though (dressing up, crazy beards, bandannas, etc.) feels and looks just like survivor but with the added pirate twist.

It wasn't bad. I could see it doing well, but they kicked off the scientist. I think he would have made the show interesting, as opposed to everyone else, who all seem to be lemmings.

a friend of mine auditioned for this show. he grew up in guam and is currently a tow boat operator, figured he'd be a shoe-in.... but i guess they went for people who have no idea what they're doing on a boat instead.

First off they have the Nigerian Nightmare Christian Okoye on this show. Secondly the guy that was voted off took himself a tad to seriously to be a stripper. Its a funny premise, JD reminds me of Joe Millionaire. Its a lot like a Survivor but its definitely a guilty pleasure that will be entertaining.

Pirate Master has been dumped; the new episodes will now air online on their website. Interesting to see how CBS drops a show avg. 6 million viewers while On The Lot is still on the air avg. 3 million.

Wow. it's pretty bad when a summer show that's already been filmed 100% gets canned. They've already spent the money to make the episodes, and it's not like they're gonna be replacing it with anything other than reruns of CSI. I guess those CSI reruns will probably do better in the ratings though.
