My '92 GS-R is somewhere above 260k miles. But its progressing slowly now b/c I only use my car 4 months out of the year, on weekend trips (live in NYC, don't need car).
And its still good to go, doesn't burn oil, and pulls hard to 8100rpm. 4/30/2007 7:31:24 PM |

How in the hell do you get a Jeep to go that far? American cars are pieced of shit that usually start crapping out around 100k 4/30/2007 10:18:12 PM |

any cars make it on original engine, tranny etc.5/1/2007 12:47:01 AM |

my 1981 w150 was all original. la block 318/727 auto ftw. drove it around town for 2 days with no oil pressure before it finally siezed. guy i sold it to got it freed back up, put an oil pump in, and kept rolling it.
the 1989 trooper was original till like 203k. had a hole the size of a dime in the #4 piston, still ran fine when i tore it down despite massive oil consumption.
i have no clue if the blue bird is original. looks like it anyway. 5/1/2007 12:58:07 AM |

original engine, 4.0 v6... it was on its 2nd or 3rd tranny

as far as i can tell, the engine is original.. probably the trans too, but i'm really not sure.. engine compression numbers are higher than the "New" spec in the repair manual.. afaik, the engine has never been opened up (had the valve cover off to fix a leak)5/1/2007 10:25:00 AM |

i would bet its original because the years of carbon deposits have increased the compression5/1/2007 10:30:57 AM |

original engine, original transmission for my GS-R. Engine's never been opened up for anything.
The engine's quit on me 3 times from sucking up water, but always started up again
