there are just so many layers of irony here.

not only did the military person post non-classified info, theduke acted as though it was when he suspended 8======D, then didn't suspend the military guy who, in light of this story should've been suspended. and to top it all off, now theduke is in a state of de facto suspension

i don't know - i always thought the military was a highly disciplined force populated by professionals

They say its for operational security, but in reality its just a ruse to silence political dissent for troops who are being held past their contracts,have their tours extended or are whistleblowers for illegal activity.

i think this was more about the intent that 8======D when he posted

8======D didnt know that it wasnt classified and maliciously posted it

pretty obvious that the info wasn't classified for two reasons - 1) a soldier posted it and 2) it was fucking obvious

so when someone was like, "omg classified" it was reposted before it could be knee-jerk redacted

either way, looks like this new military policy will avoid that kind of situation entirely
