Hey that rhymed!

Buckhead Saloon is coming to Raleigh

Just a heads up for anyone interested. If you've ever been to the one in Charlotte you know it's a fun time! It's not a country bar for anyone who thinks Buckhead = Country

We'll be opening where Jillian's used to be. Completely overhauling the interior. Please come check us out! We'll also be promoting locally by hitting up a bunch of places. PM me if you want more info or to have a contact, I'll be working there a few nights a week.

http://buckheadraleigh.com

It should be a great and much needed change.

i finally figured out why clubs and such have music so loud its impossible to have a conversation

the crowd they cater sees conversation as an obstacle to their end-goal

Do you guys have any plans to keep the black people out or is this going to be Jillians 2.0?

I'm pretty sure my church, Vintage21, is going to be where Jillians used to be and we have no plans to move. The entire interior is gutted and they're renovating as we speak. Unless this is some part of the same building...but we've got the area where the main dance floor and the grill were located.

a church next to a bar? you should just leave your doors open so i can pass out there and repent in the morning.

not too many black people come to the charlotte one, but this is raleigh so i dont know.

Jillians was pretty big, should be enough room for a bar/church combo...what an idea

I had no idea about the church, not sure what the deal is with that.

But hey, what could possibly go wrong with a party bar/church combo???

Yeah.... if you do not like large party bars, then it's definitely not for you... obviously.

The bands are brought in from all over the US, there are nights with DJ's as well. And the bands aren't just doing their own stuff, they do covers of pretty much any song the crowd requests. They just do everything a little nicer and a little better than anything around here.

if the weather is like 60 with a breeze and you are with a bunch of people it can be a fun place

if you're just looking for a bar to chill and sit back and drink a few its not the place to do it in

they always have a band in from some random city in the US and the band is always playing good cover music. Normally Saturdays is the night. Then again in charlotte it is right uptown right beside bobcats arena, the holiday inn, etc. etc. etc. Charlotte downtown is just hopping in general.

the band that usually plays on saturday night is just the two owners, one on guitar and the other on drums. they can play just about anything requested.

at the first baptist bar and grill
it's the only church in the bible belt
that smells like a whiskey still
when the sinners finish one more round
we'll have dinner on the grounds
and go inside pray we don't get killed

Its like $10 to get in the bar in Charlotte. And its too crowded. More power to them, they must be doing something right.

Personally, I'd go to Mitch's if I still lived in Raleigh. Now that I'm in Charlotte, I'd rather go to Thomas St. Tavern or somewhere like that.

well now they want us to push it back to the 16th to do it then and not on the 9th

we had already thought the 9th would be the best idea

think we will be taking it elsewhere it seems

I'm pretty sure they only do one college night a week (18+)

The coolest things about it for me are the private areas with comfy couches (you can rent your own 'lodge'), a mix of tables and huge bars, and the stage & open area for listening to the bands... not too mention it's not a country bar at all (when I was in Charlotte they played one drunken country anthem and the band sang "Sweet Home AlabamaCarolina" for a few chords. But they were pretty good actually... they covered a lot of great songs I wasn't expecting

Get your free tickets from the website for the grand opening. Still looks like June 14th is good for now...

Please comment that you were referred by Chris M if you do get your free tickets via the website... I believe we are mailing them out next week.
