Yoo. Soo... I'm leaving for a 4-week trek to Europe soon. For those that have been, what were your favorite places and why? 5/3/2007 11:56:12 PM |

i highly recommend Prague... can't say it's my favorite cause i didn't spend much time anywhere else in europe, but it's a great city. lots of good beer, beautiful women, great sights, history, architecture, nice hidden cafes, generally nice people, the whole deal. and it was cheap - they still haven't adopted the euro. 5/4/2007 12:13:24 AM |

I know, its very mainstream but really it was Paris.
London's food sucked, Paris' was great. There were awesome museums. TV and movies lie, Parisians are very helpful and friendly people. Tons of history there. Amazing place. 5/4/2007 12:20:38 AM |

i stayed a few nights in Sacile, Italy. it's a small town about an hour outside of Venice, and i enjoyed that the most out of my trip to europe (went there, venice and munich). there was virtually no tourism there, and gave a real impression of what it was like in italy. plus the place was beautiful. any non-tourist spot will do i'm sure, but based on my experience that's what i recommend. 5/4/2007 12:43:48 AM |

Do yourself a favor and visit Interlaken, Switzerland. its a small, beautiful town, can be a daytrip from Berne, and has the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. 5/4/2007 6:16:59 AM |

I agree with Interlaken, but I'd go one further and visit Gimmelwald (not Grindlewald). It's a bus ride and a short train ride through the Alps from Interlaken. There's a little hostel in town as well as a few B&B's. It's right in the middle of the Alps and you can take a cable car or hike up this mountain to this circular restaurant that rotates 360 degrees to give an awesome view of the mountains. This town was the highlight of my Europe trip. 5/4/2007 6:31:23 AM |
