go out to start the jeep turn the key and absolutly nothing. my voltage shoots up , windows lights, streo etc. all work fine. no clicking or anything from the starter, but i swapped that out just to be sure, then tried jumpin it ... still nothing.
just realized the jeep acts alot like it's not completly in park i'll have to catch a ride back across town to make sure the park is fully engaged.

In the meantime can you guys think of anything it could be ??

My Jeep did that the other week... turns out the wires were a little loose on the battery posts and I had some corrosion on the posts. It was making a connection, just not a good enough one to start it. Try taking the wires off, cleaning the post and wires and tighten them back up good. Worth a shot...

NSS

/thread

on that note, run the shifter through all the gears fairly fast and then try to start it in park and neutral. i have to actually hold my shifter between N and R sometimes for it to start.

try jumping a wire from the positive battery post to the small wire terminal on the starter, if it cranks, then you need to ground the brown/yellow wire at the neutral safety switch connector on the tranny by the shifter, it it cranks with the key, then the switch is bad, if not, then i'll go on from there

CAN YOU READ? I said that mine did the same thing. Maybe you just have trouble comprehending things. By saying mine did the same thing, I meant my accessories worked as well and it wouldn't start. I cleaned up the connection and haven't had any trouble sense.

look here you stupid mother fucker, first of all if you don't maintain your shit and let you battery terminals get that bad, you are just fuckin retarded, second, if the fucking lights etc are working and do not die when he tries to crank it, then a corroded terminal is not the problem

and unless you have some real advice besides what your sister taught you about cars, then get the fuck outta here or shut the fuck up

and if he swapped the starter already, its a safe fuckin assumption that he checked the god damned terminals
