Which is a more interesting course? which is less work? I could take both, or one and then just pick up 2 PEs to fulfill all of my electives. Recommendations? 5/8/2007 4:26:39 PM |

I will be teaching soc 206 001 first summer session from 9:50-11:20. There will be three tests and some in class assignments. 5/8/2007 5:56:38 PM |

I'm signed up for both in the fall. Since i'm a graduating senior, the 306 instructor gave me permission to take it w/o the 200 requirement. 5/8/2007 6:07:24 PM |

depending on who you are taking both with there will probably be a lot of over lap between the crim theories taught at the beginning, so you should be fine. 5/8/2007 6:08:32 PM |

considering you can take P.E.s to replace the hours I'm assuming this is a free elective (or at least 2 hrs are). If that's the case and you just want an easy class with very little work you should take 342 (international development) with Terry. 3 tests, no attendance policy. And if you read the books you will do fine on the tests. I only went to class if we were going to watch a video (covered on the test) and read each of the books the night before and got an A on each test. The longest book was about 250 pages. 5/8/2007 7:59:34 PM |

When is this for? If it's summer one take 206, both sections are being taught by grad students.
On a more general note: 206 was easy as fuck with not much work basically when I took it. 306 is more on crime if you're more interested in that, but it's a bit harder and had a lengthy research paper when I took it.

Thanks Duro, but i'd really like to take a criminology class. The "less work" bit was just a perk if it applied to one of them. So yeah, i'm thinking 206 and maybe some running and weight training. If you've taken the same PE twice, do you get hours credit for it? 5/9/2007 10:42:32 AM |

306 was boring. I had it with some Keema or somenone and it was there way or the highway and just dry as hell. 5/26/2007 4:28:10 PM |
