what does the grade LA mean?

how many threads do people need to make in such a short span of time just to find out what an LA grade means? There are > 2 such threads just on the first page. God forbid you search for any. Definitions of different grading terms are also on the R&R Policies site (R&R>>Policies>>Undergraduate Grading).

It means that the instructor had an emergency and couldn't post grades yet. LA->LATE. Maybe some of you people are late.
