when i look, it says 5x7 or 6x8
wonder if i could fit any 6x9 in there

it prob is 6x8 and it prob uses an adapter to fill the space, just go check the speakers that are in it and see how they are mounted 5/15/2007 12:20:51 PM |

back when i had a ranger, it had 6x8s in it... seeing as how mazda and ford are all pretty much the same, i wouldnt be surprised if that's what you had... 5/15/2007 12:44:04 PM |

Wal-Mart sells a pair of 6x9s for $19.99. Ask Quinn about them 5/15/2007 5:04:13 PM |

almost all 5x7's have tabs to fit 6x8's as well, some brands only make one speaker for both fitments.
i have a pr of infinity 5x7's that will fit 6x8 holes as well, $25 5/15/2007 5:57:19 PM |

What is your definition of cheap? Are you talking $5 or $25? I might be able to accomodate if you're talking about the latter. I think they are Infinity Reference series 5x7's, but I'd have to get them out to check. 5/16/2007 12:58:06 AM |

i also need to get these wiring harnesses so I can use normal speakers on my mazda or ford.
basically, if anyone has these, ill buy them from you....if youy have a ford 98 and up, or a mazda 98 and up, it should have these harnesses at each speaker...

I always just cut those plugs off and toss them in the glove box in case they ever need to go back in. It's less work and it costs nothing. 5/16/2007 10:53:40 AM |
