Guy Pearce for my money. Elijah Wood will always carry the stigma of being kidlike.

Jared Leto would be my first choice for that role, but he's not quite ugly enough.

Iggy and the Stooges are amazing, everyone has forgotten what good music is like with all this Nickelback, lil scrappy bullshit.

Is Iggy Pop dead or something? Why doesn't he just play himself?

when i asked who iggy pop was, posting a picture of him isn't exactly telling me anything.

Johnny Cash and John Nash should have played themselves too.

and Queen Elizabeth and Tony Blair.

its easier for someone who knows who he is to post "he's a douchebag" rather than me googling and coming up with tons of misinformed information from random fan-sites.

and of course there is this other thing...

you could just write that and spend more time typing it then saying who this person was in 3 words or less.

hes an old school punk rock singer

he still performs with his group, Iggy Pop and the Stooges

when you hear him talk, he sounds like he has done his fair share of desginer drugs in his lifetime

much like Keith Richards

I personally dont think Elijah Wood looks anything like Iggy Pop...Pop's face is long and thin, while Wood's is round

is he playing him during the 60's b/c if so Wood is a fine choice. Iggy looked like he was 12.

also Kiedis is way to big

also how do you not know who Iggy Pop is? Maybe Golovko was in a comma for his entire life.

Iggy Pop was around during the weird transition period between traditional classic rock and punk rock. His sound was much more guteral and his midset was most everything out in music was crap up to that point, and he wanted to put more balls into his music.

Not only that, in his first appearance as Mr. Mecklenburg, he calls someone (Endless Mike, I think) a "stooge."
