I need a technical elective for my last semester (CpE). What is easier

MAE 206
MAE 208
MAE 301

You can't take 208 without taking 206 so scratch that off the list.

How did you do in Physics I? 206 is like Physics I on speed, it is a lot more in depth and is usually thought of as an early weedout course for mechanical & aerospace engineering.

301 depends highly on who your professor is, I would recommend Lyons or Boles. You use tables and charts a lot more than you would in 206 and things are less intuitive.

if you were any good at F=ma and Sum of F = 0 in PY 205, then you should take MAE 206

Thermo 1 is easy with Boles imo. It'll require some work but hes a great professor

MAE 206 was BY FAR the easiest for me... but I was a pretty mediocre AE student and I graduated 2 years ago.

Tough choice. If you can get 301 with Boles, you may want to take that. However, you may have to put more work into the class than you are willing to do. Just keep in mind that 206 is the first MAE "weed-out" course. 206 usually has professors that don't give a shit. So I guess my answer is, take 301

MAE 206 is easier than 208 because 206 deals with static cases and 208 deals with dynamic cases hence "statics" for 206 and "dynamics" for 208.
As for 301, i agree with Wraith in that it depends on who you have (i havent taken it yet but this is what i hear) but comparing 206/208 with 301 is like comparing apples and oranges i think.

for an ME, yes our technical electives are 400 level. He is not an ME tho so im guessing he needs crossover electives (i took ECE 331 as a crossover technical elective)

statics was cake. i got a B in dynamics, that class was pretty tough. thermo was also easy.

this dude was great, showed up late every class this semester and let us out early too. turned a 1 hour and 15 minute class into about 1 hour usually. graded as leniently as he could, you got help sheets for the 3rd test and final. get someone's old tests and you're good, they're remarkably similar. i really didn't do shit till the day before each test and passed with a B.

DO NOT TAKE ZENG. i had him for 1 day in fall 06 and it was all i could do to understand him when he said the name of the course. everything else was just a blur. that shit got dropped quick.

I've never dealt with Boles, but he wrote the book and from what i've heard he acts like a douche b/c of that.

i hate bowles with every piece of my being. it may be because it didnt try hard enough, or that i used the soultions manual that he blamed everyone for having hes an arrogant piece of shit and after 3 semesters id aviod him at any cost.

in all reality tho, hes probablly easier than 206.
