Finally got a teacher assigned to this class. I saw in the grade distribution reports that he taught some other classes and couldnt really decide what to think about him. How well is his english? Good teacher? Thoughts?

Had him his first or second semester teaching at State for MA242, he was ok, was hard to understand at first and didn't talk loud enough for the size of classroom that he taught. Basically everyone tried to cram into the first 3 or 4 rows or else you couldn't hear him. His teaching was ok, but some of his analogies made little sense to us. One time he told us something was like 'trying to cut a triangle out of the bottom of a melon when you buy it,' apparently they do that back in Armenia to check for freshness. However he had a latina teaching assistant Daniela who was absolutely gorgeous so I could put up with the class, especially when she taught because I could understand her better too.The final was incredibly difficult and unlike all of the tests that he gave before, and I am absolutely positive that nearly the entire class failed it. However, he let us use calculators, (including Tii89s) and dropped our lowest test grade, so I was ok with him, ended up with an A- in the class.[Edited on May 19, 2007 at 5:33 PM. Reason : ]
