So Garner had their annual Public Safety Day out at Lake Benson Park today...pretty good turnout overall...Garner Police Dept Hosted with appearances by Garner EMS & Fire, Wake County Sheriff Dept, NCSHP (Highway Patrol), NCSU Public Safety (Mounted Equine Unit), and a few others...I am no Professional Photographer (I stay away from the uggo chicx unlike IphotoU) but I uploaded the pics I took to Flickr...they are located at:

It is an annual event held so that the public has the ability to talk to the Police/Fire/EMS personnel that serve the city/county everyday and get to know them better...and also gives the public a chance to see the tools their tax dollars paid for that the departments use such as vehicles and SRT (Swat) team tools....and it gives the community a chance to gather in a family friendly environment and have a good time outside when the weather was awesome...I think the parents were just glad to get their fat ass kids out from behind video games and outside where they could get some exercise

Garner only exists because it made a good piss stop on the NC railroad line between Goldsboro and Charlotte.

now its a good place to put your strip malls, super wal-marts, and trailer parks.

bullshit. theres a fucking ton of them. so what do you call them then? RV parks? manufactured housing communities ? ive personally been to or driven by a few of them.

and ive been to this one too. my ex- and I were looking for a new apt. and went and checked these out on a whim. its supposed to be a 4-star community. the trailer they had to show was disgusting. it had a sticky film all over everything, the plastic veneer on the walls was peeling, and the floor in the bathroom had a sinkhole under the carpet ("don't step there")


there was another park we went to (i dont know why, maybe because it sounded too good to be true)... we drove in the park in the middle of garner somewehre, and drove right the fuck back out again. it was like a redneck-ghetto from hell. it was scary.
