I am trying to get install the Cisco Systems VPN Client 4.8.00.0440 software and keep getting kicked out when it gets about half way through. I get a message about needing to reboot and try it again when it reaches the DNE part of the install. It doesnt ask if I want to restart, it indicates that I need to before I can install. Clicking OK uninstalls what I have, clicking the X does the same. I am using XP on a fairly modern computer. What gives?

Are you installing it from a network share/online source? If so, you might want to download the install/setup file to your hard drive and run it locally b/c it usually kills the internet connection while installing which my be fubaring your setup.
