Good to see the higher gas prices are at least going to something halfway cool, although I really would prefer the extra money back in my pockets. 5/26/2007 11:34:08 AM |

Outdoor stadium: 60,000 seats Indoor: 10,000 seats
Those seem kind of small. 5/26/2007 2:23:31 PM |

except that dubai's GDP isn't based on oil. Its trade. If this was Abu Dahbi (the capitol city of the UAE, which is the country where Dubai is located) then yes, it would be oil. And since you assumed Dubai's GDP was based on oil, i'm going to assume you have no idea what country it is located.5/26/2007 3:59:50 PM |

I used to go ice skating in the Abu Dhabi sports city. It wasn't anything to this magnitude but it was pretty decent at the time (late 80's). And it was located out in the middle of no where in the desert lol 5/27/2007 1:23:01 PM |

Back in the day when I used to go there, it was the biggest shit hole ever with 1 or 2 shopping malls. Its so hard to believe that all this has happened so fast.
My favorite stop as a kid on the way back home to Abu Dhabi was stopping at the SafeWay just outside the city on the desert road. It was the only safeway around.
