I drive a 94 geo tracker and recently took the annoying import muffler the previous owner had off. I live in pender county and there are numerous inspection stations where they ask you, "does it work" and then give you a sticker without checking anything ( my inspection sticker is good til 2008). Anyway since I will be driving in Raleigh over the summer and during the 2007-2008 school year, is it likely I will be pulled over and given an improper equipment citation? 5/27/2007 5:37:27 PM |

i drove around for a while with LT headers, off road pipe, and a cutout in my 98 T/A for a couple months and never had any trouble so i doubt you will. 5/27/2007 7:04:19 PM |

i mean, i know a kid that drove for months with a 5.0 stang with nothing after the h-pipe and never got stopped(2 dui's in 3 months later but..). it just takes u across the cops "let it slide" line IMO if ur doing something minor.
but 20$ on a cheapo muffler is more than worth the hassle, well that and not looking like complete trash.

the geo asks you politely to take it out of its misery by going to a demo derby... 5/27/2007 10:46:05 PM |

going into the derby in a geo will likely put the driver out of his misery... 5/27/2007 10:55:21 PM |

i would think any vehicle with any muffler would be less annoying than without. 5/28/2007 1:00:37 PM |

I don't think a muffler is a requirement. 5/28/2007 8:53:35 PM |
