I'm looking for a world of warcraft replacement.

my biggest thing is graphics and pvp. I like the setup of pvp in warcraft (pvp servers)

What's the closest there is out there to it? I keep getting told I have to wait for Warhammer.

I'm looking for something closer to the free-for-all pvp that's in wow. not just the arena and battleground kinda stuff.

The closest thing now that you'd be able to do is PVP servers in the original Everquest. With those, there are basically no factions and you can kill any players above level 10. That, or Eve Online, and since that isn't "sword and sorcery" I guess you wouldn't be interested.

you realize a game centered around this would be the dumbest thing ever right? you'd be out by yourself, no other content, just killing things. also, no game has a more mature control or pvp system than wow. it's unfortunate, there are lots of games with far better content than wow, just the gameplay sucks

I quit wow like a year and a half ago but they must have changed its pvp structure drastically because it wasnt free for all. I never could kill a member of my race.

if you're used to wow pvp, guild wars probably won't be a good fit. it takes a lot of skill, planning, and good teams to be successful. simply limiting you to 8 skills in a fight is a drastic change from wow

yes.

I played it during the beta and the first 2 years it was out. There was none of this "going red" bullshit. If you wanted to kill someone, you did it. As long as you didn't do it in town, there were no repercussions.

you pay as much for expansions every few months as you would be with a normal subscription based game
