i watched 1-3 and Empire.

I didn't watch New Hope cause i had watched it just a couple days before so i watched Deer Hunter (3+ Hrs itself) instead. I had to get up early the next morning so I couldn't make it through Jedi so i went to bed.

basically hbo just purchased the hd-dvd box set and played them

^There is no high-def DVD set of Star Wars, and no broadcaster would ever use consumer-grade products for a broadcast.

All but Episode II were shown in OAR...if I could sit there all night or had room on the DVR, I would have definitely watched at least IV-VI, special edition or not.
