Not talking about specific events (ie a specific game) but generally what is the most exciting play/moment in sports.

I'm going to go with pulling a goalie in hockey

Pulling the goalie, in and of itself, isn't exciting.

A 5-on-3 in overtime is the answer we're looking for here.

Successfully run 2-minute drill in the NFL for a win.

Any kind of big KO in a fight (MMA or boxing).

I know I'll get flamed for this, but when 2 (or more) cars are side-by-side racing to the checkered flag and giving it their all, that's pretty intense

its the field goal for the win, but also when the game is NOT tied

think about it... you are the most nervous during that time... cause its usually a 50/50 chance of what will come... a hail mary would be more amazing but i mean the nerves of watching your team in the situation arent as great cause its less likely to happen... eh whatever

Basketball: When fat retired players race elderly referees

Football: When roughing the passer is called on a game-changing 4th quarter forced fumble sack

Baseball: When managers throw grenades at umpires

Hockey: When people forget the words to the national anthem, leave, come back to try again, and bust their ass on the ice

in basketball when 2 players, one on each team, are just on fire / in the zone, going back and forth when neither of them can seem to miss a shot...think lebron james on thursday night if maybe billups was also on fire

This is kind of a weird one, but I always love in baseball when a position player comes in to pitch in a blowout. It's even better when they are able to strike people out. Like when Jose Oquendo struck out Deion Sanders. I know Wade Boggs came in a game once and struck out at least one person also.

The 17th occurrence of it ever happening was this year, turned by a rookie Rockie vs. the Braves

i love the buzz before the kick off of a huge game.

for the people who were there (events that occurred directly after the event not withstanding), the atmosphere before kick off of the ESPN Miami game was amazing.

i always like when a star comes up with 2 outs in the ninth in a big spot. A-rod's homerun tonight an example.
