WHO GIVES A FUCK WHOSE WAR IT IS, YOU STUPID FUCKING BITCH? THE FACT IS, WE ARE THERE, AND THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT!!! I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF IT WAS NELSON MOTHER FUCKING MANDELA'S WAR, IT'S STILL A WAR THAT INVOLVES US TROOPS. NOW SHUT YOUR FUCKING PIE-HOLE AND ACCEPT THE FACT THAT THIS IS AN AMERICAN WAR INVOLVING AMERICAN SOLDIERS. SHUT UP UNLESS YOU HAVE ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY!!!
Jeez, shit like this just pisses me the hell off. Can we not get past partisan bickering and bullshit long enough to talk for one fucking second about things that must be done? Does every last fucking thing have to be about Democrat/Republican, left/right bullshit? When are we going to have a politician who gives a fuck about America and not about their fucking party?

When Americans tell the two parties to STFU and they elect someone not a member of either party.
Until they do, the same two parties will do the same bickering with the same corruption and the same lack of concern for the country, cause they know there is no consequence for their actions.
If that does not happen, you're just going to have to accept that is how things will be til the day you die.

It's all politics and shifting blame. It was "America's War" when it started. It was "Our War" when we were in Baghdad and the statues of Saddam were falling. It was "The Liberator's War when Saddam was captured. When things went bad, it was George Bush's War. 6/4/2007 9:29:06 PM |

problem is, the two parties have made it so that a third party candidate can't win... so what the fuck can we do, short of a revolution? 6/4/2007 9:29:34 PM |

how so? can't ralph nader become president if he gets majority of the votes? (or any other 3rd candidate)
if yes, then the people are to blame, not the 2 parties.6/4/2007 9:32:33 PM |

if it keeps Nader out of the Oval Office, I'll just stick with the human cesspools that are our two major parties.
and in seriousness, that bring up another point: the "other' parties bear TONS of blame for their own lack of success. They're extremist fringe elements that don't produce viable candidates. I'd be a card-carrying Libertarian, but they're fucking crazy. Ideologically aligned with me, yes, but they are simply not grounded in reality (and it's largely the same story with all of the 2nd and 3rd tier parties).

The media has already decided which candidates and parties are the most interesting/profitable to cover, so these private companies will dictate to the American public who will be covered and from what pool on candidates the winners will be drawn. Capitalism trumps democracy once again.6/4/2007 9:42:31 PM |

seriously. show me a candidate that gives a flying fuck about america and I will vote for him/her in a heartbeat. All ANYONE cares about is winning the political pissing contest. they don't give a fuck what happens in the meantime, as long as they win the pissing contest then they are happy.
And yes, via "Campaign finance reform," the two parties have made it impossible for any viable 3rd party candidate to win. The only candidates that will ever win any seats now will be those who are backed by a major party with money. Libertarians can't do that. Maybe it's their own fault, but still. And you can be guaran-fucking-teed that the media will do everything it's power to maintain the status quo. Why give up the great situation where you can report about one guy getting his dick sucked one day and then turn around the next day and report about how a guy can't say "nuclear" correctly? It's a fucking goldmine. If a 3rd party guy got in, all the fun would be over, because they couldn't play it off on the "evil other party" anymore. Cause the sheepish public would just look at the 3rd party and say "well, at least these guys aint fucking around," and there would go the media ratings.
But seriously, why would ANYONE vote for a candidate who is more concerned with assigning BLAME than for proposing viable SOLUTIONS to the alleged problem, and solutions that don't involve completely shitting on another country for political gains? Why did we start hearing about the 2008 elections before the fucking 2005 elections? it's utter bullshit. 6/4/2007 11:57:30 PM |

And the Republicans (or at least the Governor of Michigan) tried to get him blacklisted for it.
Anyway, as far as a mainstream third party, I became a delegate for this new effort called Unity08 incase it becomes respectable. It has some moderates that have left the two parties running it. My expectations are tempered but I'm at least willing to give the thing a shot in its early stages. It's completely free. The reason I became a delegate was so I could vote in their online primary next year. Here's the site: http://www.unity08.com

I like how the system in France is.
In the recent elections, several candidates (I think 11, but only 4 major ones) went to the ballot, and then only the top 2 went to a second round to choose the president. 6/5/2007 9:26:39 AM |
