The CNN so-called "debate" was, in reality, a publicity stunt for the establishment-annointed candidates of Giuliani, McCain, & Romney. These three establishment puppet candidates were placed in the center of the stage all beside each other and given a grossly disproportionate amount of air time, while the so-called "second tier" candidates were given much fewer questions and air time. Giuliani, McCain, and Romney were often raising their hands and trying to but in and make comments when it wasn't their turn, as if they cut a deal with CNN and Blitzer to dominate the debate and air time. It was a complete joke.

Despite the attempt by CNN (as well as FOXNews and others who've hosted debates) to push Romney, Giuliani, & McCain, the public sees right through the charade and overwhelmingly supports Ron Paul as the GOP nominee. Ron Paul is the REAL frontrunner. The so-called "polls" by CNN/FOX/NBC et all that say Giuliani, McCain, & Romney are the "frontrunners" are complete and total bullshit (ie, manipulative or outright falsified). There is no way in hell that the pro-war, pro-abortion, pro-gun_control Giuliani (or pro-amnesty McCain) is the leader among republicans. Look at any internet poll...ask people you know...or look at any other real indicator...and you will see Ron Paul as the winner of the debates and the lead choice among republicans.

Paul is the only thing even close to a genuine conservative candidate who will represent the peoples' interests, and is not a total establishment puppet in favor of the status quo. He's strongly against the Iraq War, against illegal immigration, a strong defender of individual liberty and the Constitution, etc. All the other candidates are in favor of perpetual war and the "war on terror" fraud....and the "Big 3" of Giuliani/Romney/McCain (of which one will almost certainly be SELECTED by the establishment to be the nominee) are in general soft on illegal immigration, gung ho in favor of the war (even whoring for the Jewish establishement and saying they would use nukes against Iran), in favor of gun control, etc.

I listened to C-Span following the debate (taking calls from republican & independent voters) and the public in general is absolutely outraged over illegal immigration (as well as strongly against the Iraq war, needless to say), and Ron Paul was the overwhelming choice as the favorite among the GOP candidates. Coming in second was Tancredo due to his strong stance against the disasterous illegal immigration problem.

paul will never get the repub. nomination.

Better chance running as an independent. I might vote for him as an independent, but pulling for him in the primaries is a waste of time.

Besides, hes too radical for washington, and would never get anything that he talks about passed. -- Making him Lame Duck for the entire term. I like some of his ideas, and his back to america first approach, but just dont see him doing anything he talks about.

Most of the establishment/corporate news sites don't even have a poll on the debate. I wonder why? Because they know Ron Paul would clearly win?

I found one that did...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18963731/

Quote :
"Vote on the New Hampshire Republican debate
Who do you think did the best or worst in the following six categories?

Who stood out from the pack? * 21057 responses

Rudy Giuliani 8.7%
John McCain 6.4%
Ron Paul 64%
Mitt Romney 9.2%

Who showed the most leadership qualities? * 20866 responses

Rudy Giuliani 9.9%
John McCain 8.2%
Ron Paul 62%
Mitt Romney 9.9%

Who was the most convincing candidate? * 20742 responses

Rudy Giuliani 8.9%
John McCain 6.6%
Ron Paul 64%
Mitt Romney 9.5%"

Quote :
"paul will never get the repub. nomination."

Only because the powers-that-be running the media and the whole show will not SELECT or allow Paul to be the nominee. They will select one of their puppets who will tow the establishment line.

If it was up to the masses, Ron Paul is the CLEAR leader and would win the GOP nomination.

Yeah, you are a dumbass... Those polls are so skewed by the paul faithful who are screaming for credibility when there in fact isnt much there.

Look at a real poll. Ask 200 americans at random who they think should win the nomination.

You might find 2 that say Ron Paul. Stop believing the fake hype of a skewed online poll full of Ron Paul people.

If you really believe in him, then donate to his cause. Then maybe he will actually have some money to use for his campaign instead of relying on all his followers to skew polls for him.

I like ron paul, however, I dont feel there is a snowballs chance he gets the repub nomination. If he runs as an independant, then there is no way he or any repub will win. He will split votes. Its sad, he has a true small govt mentality.

Quote :
"Corporate Media Sidelines Ron Paul Again

Texas Congressman put in shadows while establishment shills lavished with time and attention, yet Paul still wins post-debate polls

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
Wednesday, June 6, 2007

Viewers of last night's Republican presidential debate again came away with the distinct impression that the corporate media, in this case CNN, had again deliberately limited Ron Paul's speaking time while affording lavish attention to establishment candidates like Giuliani and McCain.

[...]

In another example of censorship, CNN asked people to comment on the debate at their website, but when the comments that came in were overwhelmingly pro-Ron Paul, CNN simply removed them and replaced them with comments about Sunday night's democratic debate.

Despite all these attempts to once again sideline Ron Paul and derail the momentum of his campaign, the "champion of the Constitution" is still leading all the post-debate polls.

[...]

Once again, the best efforts of the corporate media to pretend that Ron Paul and the building momentum of his campaign does not exist, along with their attempts to downplay and censor the impact the Texas Congressman is having, are inconsequential as the tide of the Ron Paul Revolution comes crashing ashore and the message of liberty continues to resonate with Americans nationwide."

The thing is...those 3 aren't the REAL top 3. IE, those 3 do NOT have the most support among the masses. Those 3 are the top choices of the establishment/elite (whom control our government and the corporate media). The media gives them all the coverage in order to put out the perception that these 3 are the "frontrunners." More times than not, it becomes a reality later on due to the fact that the public becomes conditioned to believe that these really are the top candidates...or due to the fact that they get all the coverage, many give up or forget about the other candidates.

Giuliani, Romney, & McCain are nothing more than establishment shills.

Understandable..since through-out your whole life you've seen leader after leader go back on their words, sell out and/or become corrupted. Sadly, it's a reasonable thought.

But there are principled and strong leaders out there. Often though, these types are not attracted to politics. I would suggest to you not to give up though. Do not think a Ron Paul presidency would be lame duck. A president still wields a lot of power.

Even if he just sat there for four years and vetoed wasteful spending bills while drumming home the principles of smaller gov't and liberty...he could inspire thousands of young people to pick up the torch and run with it.

I gotta say, I'd be behind Ron Paul 100% when it comes to the primaries. I mean, the man has simply got his head on straight, he doesn't bullshit like these other "republican" posers that the media is pushing...it's obvious no one is buying the bullshit, so it's gonna come down to whether people put their money where their mouth is and really support this guy come crunch time.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the debate last night, so if anyone has a good link to it online, I'd really like to see it. I can't really put my $.02 until I have.

Look. 9/11 was clearly an inside job. Anyone who's gone beyond blindly believing the government/establishment story about 9/11 and actually looked into it for themselves knows there is a government cover-up and involvment. The US Air Force was stood down, the 3 towers were brought down in controlled demolitions, bin Laden was framed using doctored/fake tapes, etc, etc, etc.

That's one problem I have with Ron Paul. He won't come out and publicly state the truth regarding 9/11, and how the so-called "war on terror" is a complete fraud. But I highly suspect he privately believes it. There is perhaps a good reason for him to not go public...eg, an outright full-blown attack by the establishment to oust him from office, the debates, and end his political career.

"VANISHED CNN COMMENTS ON RON PAUL IN THE DEBATE

CNN put up a comments page about tonight's New Hampshire GOP debate at http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/06/03/who-won-the-debate/#comments

The comments were overwhelmingly for Ron Paul.

So, CNN simply removed the comments and replaced them with apage of comments about last night's Democratic debate.

Here is a copy of the comments as they were before CNN removed before removed them.

Ron Paul won the debate. He is the only candidate that seems to be honest and not out of touch. He is also anti-amnesty and believes that Americans have the right to privacy and believes in property rights (anti-eminent domain: none of the other candidates have even touched it). Before this debate I was unsure about who to support (Democrat or Republican) and with this debate I'm totally with Ron Paul.

Ron Paul won. Every other candidate wants to continue this war and Bush's failed policies. I can't believe that Rudy McRomney leads the polls. Wow, the Republicans are in big trouble.

CNN did a poor job. All the post-debate talk is about the 3 "main" candidates (those who have received exorbinate amounts of funds from special interests) who hogged all the limelight during the debate. Tonight, thanks to CNNs manipulation of mic time, viewers were left at the short end of the stick. And I thought you guys were the real fair and balanced network. I'm disappointed with CNN

Only one candidate really stands out to me in both parties and that is Rep. Ron Paul from Texas. Dr. Paul is the only candidate that to me seems incorruptible. Not only does he abstain from participating in the lucrative congressional pension program but he has also never voted to raise taxes and he has never voted to raise congressional pay. To me he is by far the most unique and powerful candidate. Whether he is speaking about foreign policy or immigration he is a true conservative.

Posted By Robert Gordon, Olympia Washington : June 5, 2007 9:31 pm
To borrow a quote thrown around, it was a "slam dunk" for Ron Paul. he seemed to say what the public is screaming. BRING THE TROOPS HOME! He was the ONLY one who iterated the &) percent of the publics outcry!

Posted By Jerry Dial, Townsend, Tennessee : June 5, 2007 9:33 pm
Ron Paul won in my opinion, even though he was cut off from answering the group-wide questions. I understand it was to keep the debate moving, but at the same time, Ron Paul is a significant candidate. He has a fertile grassroots campaign, and it is growing. I believe the man deserves to answer the question - isn't that what Blitzer guaranteed to the candidates?

Posted By Alex - Roswell, GA : June 5, 2007 9:33 pm
Ron Paul won, without a doubt. He stuck to the questions and gave consistent, accurate answers.

Posted By Jim Vernon, Eugene, OR : June 5, 2007 9:33 pm
Ron Paul. He answered the questions asked. Told the truth. "You don't spread freedom with a barrel of the gun" — best line of the evening

Ron Paul won this debate hands down! Because he points out why they hate us an it has nothing to do with our freedom! Also Paul wants to bring the troops home an stop policing the world!
Go Dr. Paul

That was a shameful cover of the debate. They hardly even talked to Ron Paul. The other candidates blurted out answers to questions that weren't even asked. Those who think he has some good ideas but wont get the support he needs.

Those who spread the conspiracy theory BS and try to scare americans into voting for Ron Paul.

Salisburysteakboy is the latter.
