I was out in the L.A. area a couple weeks ago and I snapped these pics of some kind of new car. It has the michigan plate... anyone have any guesses of what it could be? New Focus or something?

i don't know what they have it disguised for...like any manufacturer would want to rip them off and make their own car that ugly...

Long shot, but reminded me of it...hood looks too short though. I guess they could have ghetto ass wheels on it for a disguise, lol.

man, I hope Subaru knocks one out of the park with the next STi.
I'm not so enthused about the Evo IX.

I've seen that before on show cars that someone has had detailed to the extreme but has to drive it to the location. Keeps the dust etc off of it. It wasn't as protected as that, but it was very similar. 6/13/2007 9:16:22 AM |

I agree Duke, but the new WRXs are so fucking ugly. Just stick with a previous generation, problem solved.6/13/2007 1:35:08 PM |

There's no way that the car in disguise is an STi, not with those skinny steel wheels...
If Subaru really made the STi weigh 2700lbs, that's good for them, but I don't see it as likely. Ahmet 6/14/2007 9:26:10 AM |

Spy photo: Is this the next Subaru STI, or something else?
Quote : | "Boy, do you think they could have added any more camo? This spy shot was taken by a quick-thinking NASIOC member today in LA. At a quick glance one could assume this might be the next Subaru Impreza STI. What's clear is the big wing lives on, or at least they want you to think so. Also, it looks like the taillight lens might be different that those found on the Impreza 5-door, and there's no way to accurately see if this model has the rumored fender blisters.
Then again... Maybe it's not the STI. Upon closer examination the top edge of the rear door appears to be a bit straighter than that of the door found on the new Impreza, and the dash vent appears different from that on the new Impreza. So... any guesses, as to what we might have here?
Those in the LA area, keep those cellphone cameras ready, as this may come your way." |

If it's an economy car, I'm really curious what that tent-like area on the back is for, lol. It'd be obvious if it was hiding a spoiler, but what else could it be? 7/7/2007 4:38:14 PM |
