Premieres this Wednesday night!
Obviously Tommy survives the fire, else there would be no show. I can't wait to see what crazy stuff happens this season. 6/11/2007 3:30:39 PM |

Looking forward to this...
^one of the commercials showed Tommy being interviewed about the fire by the police too so I take it that it will be a big part of the beginning of the season. 6/11/2007 4:32:20 PM |

^^ I just listened to the Howard Stern show where Artie talks about the days he shot that. He was worried about getting a boner so he wrapped his penis in an ace bandage to limit the growth and movement. 6/11/2007 8:53:42 PM |

Season 3 DVD set is on sale for 29.99 at Best Buy. Season's 1 and 2 are only 16 bucks, I think. Might be the best show for guys ever made.

So is Sheila a ghost or are they scamming the insurance company? 6/14/2007 4:20:24 PM |
Cif82 All American 10455 Posts user info edit post |
Looks like they are scamming the insurance company now but not originally. Considering how much money is involed Shelia needs Tommy to cooperate to get it so shes cutting him in. 6/14/2007 4:29:47 PM |
Cif82 All American 10455 Posts user info edit post |
Well now my friend just mentioned that Shelia might be dead. I didnt even consider that. They did mention Tommy had a house and life insurance policy made out. 6/14/2007 5:46:26 PM |

if Sheila is dead why would she care about the 2 million dollars?

She was just referring to the fact that Tommy could be fucking up his chance to get 2 million dollars. Jimmy uses does this all the time when Tommy sees him. The biggest clue right now is the mention of the life insurance policy. We also never hear what happen to Shelia during the entire episode.

I can certainly see that as a possibility. Other question is: When he does see Sheila, whose place is that? And if it's her place, and I assume if she's dead that he knows, why would he ring the bell and knock?
[Edited on June 15, 2007 at 10:52 AM. Reason : \/ why does this lead you to believe she's a ghost?] 6/15/2007 10:46:36 AM |

Right. Which leads me to believe she's a ghost.
Plus, that hot lady that wants to take Tommy out saved him from the fire. Not Sheila...
It all adds up to Sheila being dead. 6/15/2007 10:50:36 AM |

thats what i thought too, but then i thought it could have been a small office or something like that since jimmy was yelling at him about his story on the way up
but if she is dead, it seems like there would be at least SOME sadness, i mean he did care for her a little so i dont know.6/15/2007 6:22:50 PM |

I'm confused after tonights episode. Last week I clearly heard someone ask if Damien was ok after losing his mother. Tonight made it clear she wasn't dead.

Looks like he really did off himself
Quote : | "FX's Rescue Me (Wednesdays at 10 pm/ET) once again reminded its fans to expect the horribly unexpected, as its June 27 episode concluded with the gunshot suicide of firehouse chief Jerry Reilly. But the plot turn was downright devastating for Jack McGee, the actor who played the gruff, lovable chief.
Speaking to TV Guide in March during his last day on set, McGee alleged that the decision to off his character derived from an unnamed animus from the show's star and executive producer, Denis Leary. He claims the two were once close but that in recent years Leary had barely spoken to him off camera. "I don't know what I did to him," McGee says. What's worse, he added, is that Leary didn't break the news personally. "He handled it like a mutt," McGee grouses.
Leary counters that he simply doesn't handle personnel issues. "It's hard enough to deal with the actors when I'm acting with them," he says. Noting that the series has seen his own character's son and brother suffer sudden demises, Leary says, "It's amazing to me that actors can think that the end is not going to be around the corner."
However, in what should be reassuring news to McGee, Leary added, "When you die on Rescue Me, your part just gets bigger, because everybody comes back as a ghost."" |

This season is better than the last one so far for me. It brings back the funny, especially the "sitting around the firehouse table" conversations. That spankbank bit was hilarious for us.
And I definitely did not see the chief offing himself. 6/30/2007 10:35:36 AM |

This was by far my least favorite season so far. I did like them going back to the subtitles between Tommy and his father during the finale ( I don't think thats been done since Season 2). The entire season was never building to any type of climax whatsoever. The secondary characters never took off and the editing or writing of the episodes seemed sloppy. I was unclear of many things like Tommy living at the station, Probie graduating and working at a different shift than the regular crew, etc. 9/17/2007 2:20:04 PM |

it'd be nice if the beginning of next season starts off with Tommy waking from the coma he's been in sincce the fire and revealing that all of season 4 was a dream.
so many weird extreme things happened this season that just didn't seem like they should happen
so many situations were like the worst possible thing that could have happened in a given situation
so many situations were the best possible thing that could have happened
there wasn't really a balance 9/17/2007 7:49:36 PM |

^That's a staple with this show I feel like, but in previous seasons, I cared. And it made sense.
In this season, it was just a random jumble of crap that didn't matter. Maybe I'm desensitized to it all by now...
I used to love this show. Now, I can't even recommend that my friend finish this season.
I really liked the ending scene of baseball with the dad, translation subtitles, etc. Except it's not a good ending to the fucking season. It would have made for an amazing ending to an episode, but not a season!
Usually RM leaves you with tons of questions and the season finales are all dark and shit and you wonder if the characters will pull it out. This one just felt blah....almost like Dennis Leary's given up as a writer. 9/18/2007 10:03:40 AM |
