Both albums have been out of print for years.
Anyway, this is pretty awesome news. I'll pick this up eventually.

here's what the wiki said about it
Quote : | "Both Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and its unexpected 1990 follow-up Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3 were deleted in the mid-1990s with rights reverting to Harrison and his estate after his 2001 death.
With all of his solo catalogue having reverted to EMI after almost twenty years with Warner Bros. Records, who distributed his Dark Horse Records label, both Traveling Wilburys albums appeared set to be re-issued through EMI.
Tom Petty was quoted to have said that they would be re-released in late 2005, though nothing became of these claims until March 20, 2007, when Billboard reported the upcoming release of a collection entitled Traveling Wilburys, containing both "Vol. 1" and "Vol. 3" (each featuring two bonus tracks) along with a bonus DVD, which features five music videos and a documentary." |

I almost made a thread about this yesterday
I bought both volumes used after they'd gone out of print, but I got the re-release for the bonus tracks. 6/13/2007 11:54:31 PM |

I had to buy my copies on eBay from Russia during the out of print years. Also came with Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever album and a compilation of various collaborative efforts amongst members that were not necessarily official Wilburys efforts. It was called "Volume 4 1/2". There was some Cyrillic characters on the back of the jewel case, but otherwise legit. 12/17/2013 12:41:23 PM |
