I saw him two or three years ago at Bickett with Art Lord and it was mindblowing (though I'm not exactly sure how).

The Art Lord/Future Islands dudes are buddies with him and have been talking him up for four years, and he never disappoints. It's definitely something you should see if you haven't.

I kind of see him as what Enon would sound like if Enon was made up of Daniel Johnston and Matmos.

With enough notice, I could probably arrange a personal appearance at Galaxy .

p.s. Good show, I think. Really weird. His microphone, signal generator, and iPod all broke during the course of the night. He had to have somebody go get his laptop to play the songs, and the girl (you may remember her from such shows as the other Dan Deacon show in which she sat on Girl Talk's desk and humped the shit out of him*) who was holding it accidentally CLOSED THE LID during one of the songs, putting it to sleep, cutting the backing track. Dan Deacon: "This is why people have bands."
