. . .scandal. The State Board of Elections has launched an inquiry concerning the campaign finances of Rep. Mary McAllister (D-Cumberland). Questions have been raised as to whether her political activities are run out of a state-sponsored group, Operation Sickle Cell, which is a health-care counseling and testing nonprofit in Fayetteville.

But she tried to block the subpoena!
