Is there an easy way to delete all of the songs I have that I no longer have the rights for? I'm using WMP and had been using their subscription service but just dont use it enough anymore and I want to get rid off all of the stuff I cant play.

Usually it just puts that stuff in My Documents\My Music. You can probably just go in and delete it, though the DRM can be broken if it's the old kind.

Can your music playing software sort by type?

I would just sort by type, and delete them that way, if it were iTunes.

Or search for files of a particular type (Mac OS can do this... i assume Windows can too). I guess you'd be looking for WMA-Protected files.
