*coach
This is in brunswick county.

Quote : | "After resigning from South Brunswick High School, a 40-year-old cross country coach and science teacher went on to marry a 16-year-old student with whom he had a friendship deemed suspicious.
A marriage license shows Brenton Wuchae married the student, Windy Hager, in Brunswick County Monday. Wuchae submitted his resignation, which was effective June 13, on Monday. On Tuesday, the Brunswick County Board of Education approved the resignation.
Not only did Wuchae coach Windy, a star runner at South Brunswick High, but he also lives less than two miles away from her parents' home on Oak Island.
At their home Tuesday, Windy's parents, Dennis and Betty Hager, said they did all they could to keep Windy and Wuchae apart, after noticing a deeper-than-usual friendship forming between them. In the past year, Wuchae and Windy had exchanged e-mail and many text messages, some after 3 a.m., and spent a lot of time together outside of school.
The parents said they intervened, talking to the coach, going to school officials, pleading with police and sheriff's office detectives, even other teachers and students at South Brunswick. The school system didn't do much to help them, law enforcement couldn't confirm their worries and Windy came to hate them, they said.
"I believed that if children were at school or at church, that they were safe," Betty Hager said.
She said she tried to get a temporary restraining order against Wuchae on Friday, but a Brunswick County magistrate wouldn't grant it. Only Windy could have obtained the order, Betty said.
After more than a year of emotional warfare with their daughter, the Hagers reluctantly signed a consent form allowing Windy to marry her coach, they said. If they hadn't, as the minor's legal guardians, the law would have forbidden the union, the N.C. Magistrates Association Web site says.
About 10 p.m. Tuesday night, the second night Windy was away from her parents as a teenage bride, she and Wuchae lay on his living room floor in T-shirts and shorts surrounded by pillows watching TV. Wuchae casually pet his yellow Labrador. When he answered the door, Wuchae declined to comment.
Wuchae was suspended with pay on May 2. Both the school system and Brunswick County Sheriff's Office investigated the case but did not come up with enough evidence that would merit charging or even firing the coach, Brunswick County Schools Superintendent Katie McGee said. According to state statutes, only certain conditions represent grounds for the termination of a tenured employee such as Wuchae, immorality being one of them.
"Unfortunately, when dealing with tenured employees, suspicion alone cannot warrant dismissal," McGee said in a statement Tuesday.
But McGee did express some dismay at hearing news of the marriage.
"As a lifelong educator, I am truly shocked and disheartened by what has transpired," McGee said in her statement. "For fear of violating confidential employee records laws, I cannot and will not offer any additional comment except to say that the actions of Mr. Wuchae in no way represents the overall quality and integrity of the 1,600 employees of Brunswick County Schools."
The Hagers said their 14-year-old son, Will, won't be attending South Brunswick next year. If he hadn't decided to go to the early college high school, Betty Hager said she would have home-schooled him.
The school system hired Wuchae as a teacher and coach in August 2004 from Guilford County. In the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) directory, he was listed as the boys and girls cross country coach for 2006.
Windy, who completed her sophomore year at South Brunswick High, is one of the school's top runners. She finished in the top 40 at the 2A state cross country meet last fall and won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs at the Waccamaw Conference track meet this spring, leading the Cougars to a team title. She also qualified for the state championships in the 1,600.
South Brunswick High's athletic director Chris Roehner said he hadn't heard anything about a possibly inappropriate relationship between Windy and her coach. No problems had been reported to him in the past, Roehner said.
But school administration "had no intentions of rehiring him as coach" next school year, feeling "it was time to make a change," Roehner said.
This is the fourth case involving romantic or inappropriate relations between an employee at a Brunswick County high school and a minor in the past year.
In May, the county sheriff's office arrested former West Brunswick High bus driver Marcus McCray, 30, and charged him with taking indecent liberties with a 16-year-old girl. A few months earlier, in September, another former custodian - 74-year-old Collis Hewett, from South Brunswick High - had been arrested and faced charges for sex offenses against a male student and indecent liberties with a child.
One employee actually landed on the state's list of registered sex offenders.
He was David Arrowood, a one-time math teacher and assistant football coach at West Brunswick High. Prohibited from ever teaching again, Arrowood was sentenced in February to 90 days in jail and five years of probation, on multiple counts of sex offense and indecent liberties with a 17-year-old female student.

i am all for getting some young pussy when i get old, but marrying someone 24 years younger than you is crazy! at least the young one is crazy as hell. think about it, when she is 50 he will be 74 years old ( if they stay together that long) and she will not be having any fun, they probably will sleep in separate beds, and not go out much. damn...
btw what is a coash?

man, if she goes back to school, it will be like tww, only except this will be real people in your face fucking with you, and not text on a screen.
even if she had gotten married to another 16 year old that still would make her look and feel weird i would think, once she realizes it.

if she is pregnant by him, he is going to prison
it had to have happened b4 he resigned, so therefore he violated teacher/student laws.

I don't really see the problem. People need to mind their own business. High schoolers and teachers have had relationships as long as there have been high schools. It went on when my parents were in school and it went on when I was in school. 16 year olds are adults.
I think the rules should be the same as in the workplace. 6/20/2007 5:47:52 PM |

this guy is obviously a nut case. who would answer the door for the media if they know they had just did some shameful shit by quitting his job before he pretty knew he was going to get fired, and marries a 16 year-old former trainee? to top it off, it is questionable why the parents 'reluctantly' signed away their daughter. 6/20/2007 6:06:57 PM |
