I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this. Long story short I bought a game off of ebay that was not scratched and played fine. Then gradually it started failing to load at some points and now it is to the point the where it will not load at all. I don't recall moving the console while I was playing, but there is definitely a semi-deep and perfectly circular scratch on my game. I know this has been a problem with the 360 in general. After an hour on support all MS did was tell me to take it back to the retailer and they will "Resurface it for me". Short of buying a new game, does anyone have any suggestions for solutions < $10.

not too much you can do besides buy your own resurfacer or trying one of the other methods that used to work since cd games have been in place.

i did car wax on my ps1 games way back when with mixed results.

This is why companies should allow you to send in the old disc, with a small processing fee, say $5 or 10, for a replacement.

def make sure you go to the dashboard b4 turning your system off or the game will just spin in the drive until it stops and scratch the hell out of it

If the scratches aren't that deep/sever I've seen decent success with rain-x.

I have a disc doctor if you want to come use it for free, it fixed a guitar hero disc for 360 that had a deep circular scratch.

^Just make sure you clean off any dust before using one of those, or you'll just add 20 times the scratches. Former roomate of mine destroyed 5 of his games before he realized that dust acted kind of like fine grain sandpaper.
