and to make a long story short I'm lucky that they only clipped my driver side mirror and since it moves towards the windshield and also closes to the driver side window, they didnt knock the whole mirror off, the only thing that broke was the mirror itself which I found about 10 feet in front of the truck.... My question is, is there a way to buy JUST the mirror without having to buy the whole holder thing because whats left of my mirror looks like it just pops back in.... I drive a 2006 F-150 if that helps, I was considering calling the junk yard to see if there's one available there, because I'm not exactly sure if a dealership would have one and I dont want to pay out the ass for just a mirror 6/23/2007 7:08:47 PM |

well, it all depends on the assembly and whether or not it can just pop back in, but calling a junkyard is a good start, and cheaper generally 6/23/2007 7:26:55 PM |

go by NAPA or carquest. they carry replacement stick-on mirrors like what you're looking for. 6/23/2007 8:29:06 PM |

Yeah it appears it could just snap on relatively easily as long as I attach the power cord so it can move, it just pisses me off that someone can hit someone else's vehicle, whether new or not, without taking the responsibility of leaving a note AT LEAST sayin something like I'm sorry 6/23/2007 8:35:00 PM |

Someone probably kicked it off. E-Bay is also a nice place to find stuff like this. Did just the glass mirror break or did something else break as well, because the glass mirror can easily be replaced. 6/23/2007 11:26:42 PM |

you can pull out the mirror and put a new one back in.
you'll have to reset the little sensor things, but that's easy.
the mirror is not too expensive. a stick on mirror like underPSI said is a good temp fix. 6/25/2007 12:56:19 PM |

^ you may want to get a glass shop to do it, they are not easy to just "pop" back in without breaking the new one if you don't know what you're doing
