bee five
Show me what you got.
Or convince me to finance a new(er) one o_O
Options aren't too terribly important. I'd like to see that the timing belt has been replaced recently and preferably the water pump too. I'll say manual to thwart the "you lil' bitch" flames, but if it's tiptronic it won't necessarily be a deal breaker.
I've checked around on craigs, ebay, and autotrader. Found a couple I like but they're in PA, TX, or FL. Considering paying a mechanic and shipping costs, but want to make sure i exhaust all local options first. 6/27/2007 2:47:10 AM |

i can't see myself driving an avant
I'm about to test drive an 01 A6 2.7T Quattro with 90-100k in about 30m. I think they want too much for it, 11k or so, which is below edmunds and KBB for some reason, but I just know the turbos will blow up 5k miles after i buy it. And of course the timing belt and water pump issue needs to be factored in to the cost..etc etc. If anyone would care to help and wants to read the carfax i pulled from it, PM me and i'll link. 6/29/2007 12:41:18 PM |

fyi: replacing the turbos on that motor requires complete engine and bumper removal 6/29/2007 2:26:00 PM |

ok so i drove the a6....i want it
what say you guys to 11k with 94k miles, if he replaces the timing belt, the water pump, and the thermostat. 95 bucks for Audi Dealership to do a bumper-bumper check on it. 6/29/2007 3:00:55 PM |

I wasn't planning on selling mine but if you make me a good enough offer...my husband & kid have been hammering me to get something bigger for a while.
99.5 A4 1.8T Quattro Tiptronic Gold with black perforated vinyl interior (I LOVE this - looks new except for one small tear in the back that should be easy to fix) ~115K miles, will doublecheck if you're interested timing belt replaced at 80K, full 90K service done (the $800 one, oh yeah), 90% sure the water pump was replaced around that time, will doublecheck It needs some body work. The black plastic underbumper piece ripped off on one of those fucking low curbs on campus, and there are random dings & scratches. I still have the plastic piece but don't think it will go back on.
If you are interested let me know and I'll meet you somewhere to drive it.
