I currently have an in dash 6 disc CD changer (standard F250 unit)

are there in dash CD changers that fit that space capable of playing MP3 cds?

if there are I might be interested in picking one up

but if the newer trucks have a built in cd changer that reads MP3, I may not worry about it and just deal with what I have until I get another truck

newer trucks have that feature. i'm not sure if the aftermarket makes any in dash changers that read mp3's, but i know they make external ones that do.

if the newer changers in the 250's have that capability, I'll just hold off for now... that or put it in a marine case when I get my boat

I've got like 10g's of music... it would be nice to have a changer and mp3 capability from it

that or I guess I should get a big i-pod

ah, you're talking ford specifically. i don't know about the 06+ super dutys, but i know my dad's 05 won't read mp3's. it's an xlt lariat, so i assume is has the best head unit. i do know the newer explorers/expeditions changers (04-05) will read mp3's. possibly one of those would be a plug and play swap, i don't know.

if you get a radio that reads mp3s, you won't need a changer! better yet, buy a in-dash dvd player and burn the audio to a dvd. you can have 700+ songs on each disc by doing it that way.
