I thought I was 26 for six months one time when I was still only 25. I got in a heated discussion with my sister-in-law where I insisted I was 26 and she said I wasn't because that was her age and I am a year younger. When I counted on my hands I found out I was only 25. It felt so good being a year younger. 7/18/2007 3:16:43 PM |

But I feel old everytime a client calls me "ma'm." I know a lot of them are just used to saying it b/c of southern upbringing...but when the client is older than me and calls me "ma'm" I cringe.

i picked up boss#2's teenaged kids the other day (backstory: i work for my dad who is the president, the vice-pres has been here 10 years and she's really more like family than a boss), and they both called me ma'am. i laughed, i couldn't believe they had called me that. i told them not to, they kept doing it, i said "really, don't call me ma'am. i'm not that old," they stopped then. 7/19/2007 11:38:46 AM |
