when you're working as a counselor at a summer camp for high schoolers born in 1992.

with mp3's and such, though, kids are listening to some of the same songs i listened to in high school ... that softens the blow a little.

There is no reason not to have one if it is offered. Instant 100 percent return if the is matching, and you can use the funds on your first house.

when the phrase when I was your age is accidentally but legitimately used for the first time during a conversation with a teenager.

You forgot how old you were so you have to remember your birth year and then calculate from there. Double impact if this happens on your birthday (like me).

I thought I was 26 for six months one time when I was still only 25. I got in a heated discussion with my sister-in-law where I insisted I was 26 and she said I wasn't because that was her age and I am a year younger. When I counted on my hands I found out I was only 25. It felt so good being a year younger.

But I feel old everytime a client calls me "ma'm." I know a lot of them are just used to saying it b/c of southern upbringing...but when the client is older than me and calls me "ma'm" I cringe.

i picked up boss#2's teenaged kids the other day (backstory: i work for my dad who is the president, the vice-pres has been here 10 years and she's really more like family than a boss), and they both called me ma'am. i laughed, i couldn't believe they had called me that. i told them not to, they kept doing it, i said "really, don't call me ma'am. i'm not that old," they stopped then.
