His old phone has gone shitty, its microphone doesn't work very well and you can't hear him so he is thinking of getting a new phone.

I have a RAZR and think its alright, do you have an alltel compatible phone that is pretty good? He just wants a phone, no iPhone bull shit. I saw a thread similar to this once but couldn't find it.

if i wasn't so stuck on getting smartphones like the treo or the cingular 8525, i'd personally have either gotten a razr or an LG CU500.

For Alltel phones you can't beat the Motorola E815....Good signal/reception and Alltel is offering it at a good price ...

depends if you want a nice expensive phone but its worth something and is cool lookin go for the

Motorola Ming thats about ---> $300 roughly
Nokia N95 ---> $500 -- 600

cheap phones that will last and are the best in my opinion: NOKIA, any nokia really. As long as i've had a cellphone i've always bought a NOKIA. and i've had a cellphone for 5-6 years.
