Which Sportscenter atrocity did you hate the most?


For me its hands down the fake pressers, I remember how dumb it was to have a guy pretending to in the same position he was FIRED for by the Mets. And they did it for like 20 teams. And the same goofy ass reporters like Tim Kurkijan and Peter Gammons would ass the same dumbass questions every time.

The 50 states one sucked mainly because it took 50 days and was on the most of that summer. They should have just picked the 10-15 best states and ignored the bullshit states like Idaho, Deleware and Rhode Island.

"Who's Now" sucks too, but at least its fun to see how dressed up Keyshawn gets for his new job at the network. Maybe he'll wear a throwback on Monday Night Countdown.


I wish we could do polls on this site, but just say which was the worst to you, and if anyone actually enjoyed any of them for whatever reason.

another thing that was TERRIBLE was a few weeks ago on monday night baseball they had 3 games that day, and they presented it like it was a boxing match w/ two lower anticipated fights and then the main event.. except they were baseball games. clever. and they had steve phillips and someone else who does baseball, don't remember, dressed up in tuxedos in front of a terrible terrible looking greenscreened boxing ring.

i fucking hate espn so much.

who's now is whats wrong with espn...a focus on the athletes instead of sports. its why they can spend an hour and still not be able to show nc state or bobcats highlights.

And Who's Now is so horrible, I keep hoping people will vote for the 7 and 8 seeds just because it's so retarded, and they're spending a whole fucking day on each and every matchup. But that's not even the worst part. The 4 brackets are named after 4 all-time greats:

sportscenter has turned into mtvsports, i used to watch it in the morning when i got up, and some days when i did nothing and was bored i would leave it on espn and be able to handle sportscenter on its constant loop...over the past few years it has gotten ridiculous and i dont watch it anymore, oh how i wish craig kilborn, kenny mayne, dan patrick, and keith olberman could be the only guys allowed to host sportscenter

kind of off topic but its funny how MTV started as music television then basically has very little to do with music anymore (let alone good music), so they come out with MTV2 for the music and MTV for their crap shows. And now, even MTV2 is 90% stupid shows hah.

"who's now" is mos def the worst.
"my wish" is okay, I usually take a dump during it.
you can't take a dump through "who's now" b/c it's on twice during the show.
I liked 50 states but still get that song stuck in my head.

I wish SC would do more spotlights on colleges, ie recruits, new facilities, coaches, etc.

I disagree. I thought the 50 states was the worst. It wasn't bad for major states but when they got to places like North Dakota they had nothing to talk about. They wold mention "notable" athletes and come up with a guy that played 4 years in the major leagues in the 70's. I will never forgive ESPN for that crap. Who's now is terrible, but I at least like Wilbon and Herbstreit. Plus, who's now takes up a lot less time.
