Under siege & the rock
ok i just saw "Under siege" and realized how much "the rock" copied it.
both have a disgruntled former marine, goes mad and takes over a island/ship, captures hostages, hold them for ransom, fires a nuclear weapon, which is disabled by the good guys just as the bomber planes are coming in to obliterate them.

hmm, sound a little too similar for me.

"The Condemned" looks to be a pretty bad copy of "Battle Royale" (with a little bit of "Running Man"). Really, they took a really cool concept/plot, then turned it into something completely generic.
