Jimmy V ESPY for Perseverance.

fitting that it would be an award named afer V.

Fitting that the award would also go to Jimmy's basketball counterpart.

does it irritate anyone else how they announce winners of ESPY's on each sportscenter? I have no reason to watch the show if I already know the winners. I sure am not watching to see Lebron dance around in hammer pants.

Yes, that bugs me too, if they aren't going to show it live, at least give us a reason to watch.....

you know, a reason like find out who won when we watch the show????

^^agreed. will she still have to wear gloves next year? there was an article a little while back that said she was doing pretty good. it did not say anything specific about her immune system though.

ESPY's start in 20 minutes. I'm looking forward to hearing the introduction (by Coach Summit, I believe) and her acceptance speech (which I haven't seen quoted extensively yet).

Also, FSN South is rebroadcasting their profile on Coach Yow again on July 18 at 7:30 p.m. and July 20 at 6:30 p.m. It's a great tribute, so set your DVRs/Tivos.

Oh, and last I saw her (on a news broadcast), she wasn't wearing the gloves anymore.

(PS: For the newbies: I'm not Kay Yow, I just play her on TWW.)

After listening to Coach Yow tonight, I've never been prouder to be a wolfpacker

What grace and dignity.

I'm proud that I supported the women's basketball team while I was at State and I hope that the current students of NCSU will support the team as well.

That was very moving. I couldn't be prouder to have Coach Yow associated with my alma mater.
