I was just curious of how many warhammer and/or warhammer 40k players we have out there. Drop a line here and if you got the time why not include the armies you play, maybe even a list.
I play Skaven, Death Guard, Dark Angels, and Imperial Guard. 7/16/2007 11:16:52 AM |

I've been playing Games Workshop games for more than 15 years now. Necromunda is still my favorite game. 7/16/2007 11:26:16 AM |

No, I've basically played everything from warmaster to inquisitor but never tried necromunda or that horrible looking blood bowl game. 7/17/2007 10:16:51 AM |

Blood Bowl sucks ass. You're not missing anything.
Necromunda is 40K based (2nd ed.) combat with persistent characters with ~5-15 figures per player. It's gang combat and it's great fun. Since your characters are persistent, they gain experience and become better over time. It's "open source" now for lack of a better term. http://www.specialist-games.com/necromunda/default.asp

Yeah, its like mordenheim but for 40k right. That sounds pretty cool though I'll have to get my buddies to try it out sometime. 7/17/2007 3:35:32 PM |

Thread necromancy.
Anyone into this? Just starting to. Hard to prep for Dungeons and Dragons with two kids. Wargaming much easier to just sit down and play. 2/23/2017 5:01:57 PM |

I played Necrons and Space Wolves in 4th and 5th ed. Been halfheartedly meaning to get back into it, but having trouble finding the time and money to do so. 2/25/2017 8:11:47 AM |

I am pretty into some oldhammer at this point. Mainly 6th edition fantasy and Mordheim right now. Also been working on some necromunda slowly. My buddy got the new Blood Bowl and that made me drag out my old Skaven team. Still have tons of 40k (mainly guard, necrons and chaos) and fantasy (empire, dogs of war, and chaos) that isn't finished. Are y'all playing the most recent edition or a previous one? 2/27/2017 10:41:37 AM |

Actually I've been into Grimdark Future, previously known as "One Page 40k," and it is a fan-made re-write and condensation of the rules into a single page. Streamlines and trims away the fat. Not nearly as complex, but plays a LOT more smoothly.

I've also been playing Kings of War for my fantasy sweet-tooth. If you haven't heard of it, it's generally considered to be the spiritual replacement for WH Fantasy since it got killed off. 3/1/2017 11:36:02 AM |

Very nice. Painting those gradients can be tough. I dig the flat look without a lot of shadowing or highlights. 7/19/2017 1:28:37 PM |

I don't play Warhammer but I recently found the Games Workshop store locally because I was looking for Citadel paints.
Very cool stuff, they had a few armies on display that people had painted and they are so detailed, amazing work. Almost makes me want to get into it. 7/19/2017 9:05:46 PM |

Super fun. Very addictive. Many people don't even play the game; they only engage with the hobby side of it.7/24/2017 8:46:16 AM |

I was pretty bad at painting, I remember most of the shops when I was younger made you atleast primer them to participate. You would also get hella shade for leaving them just primer lol. 8/18/2017 11:54:15 AM |

Anyone up for a campaign of Mordheim? Only need a few fantasy models. I am working on getting a new table and terrain together for it. (finally replacing all my old terrain that came with the boxed game). 8/21/2017 4:06:10 PM |
