Excuse my ignorance, but there's no radio to control it?
It just goes in circles?

not sure who makes it, bought it off someone else a number of years ago.
and it has rudder and elevator control. to fly you would need to buy two lil mini servos and a radio controller and speed control for the motor.
basically you'd turn on the eclectic motor and fly it up then cut power and glide around catch a thermal or hit the electric back on . prop collapses to reduce drag and save the propeller on landing 7/19/2007 3:25:39 PM |

I used to be REALLY into RC Cars.
How much is a speed control for gliders? How many channels does the radio need to be? I'm guessing 4 channels - for the 2 servos and the speedcontrol, and one to control the collapsing prop?

the prop opens and closes on its own the spinning of the motor forces out when its on,, but yep need a 3 channel radio of course usually radios come in four channel and thats what i recommend because later you might get a plane with ailerons and want to just reuse the radio.
the speed control for gliders run anywhere from $15-60 dollars depending on features and amp rating, but id say you could get one that would work for this glider nicely for $20. 7/19/2007 4:22:47 PM |
