Ok, this game deserves more attention. This is a class based action RPG from the same guys who made Diablo/Diablo II. The trailer for this game was absolutely awesome.

i really want to be able to play this game...

but i'm not going to be onboard with directX 10 for a while (i primarily use a laptop, just got mine 6 months ago and won't be replacing it anytime soon) unless i build a new desktop..

even still though, i'm looking forward to it.

The developers have already came out and said that while it will have support for DX10 and Vista, it'll run perfectly fine on DX9 machines. You have to remember, this is essentially Blizzard, and historically they develop their games so they'll run on hardware up to 4 years old.

Yay, and I was just about to bump this with all sorts of screenshots and info but you saved me the time . DarkHorse comics released a 4 issue comic that is suppose to be the backstory / setup for the game, and holy shit is this game gonna rock.

One of my friends at work is playing the Alpha (or is it beta?) right now... he managed to get into the testing population.

and the monsters are uninspiring... feel like they're trying to rush out an unfinished game to meet their release date.

it's diablo-esque nature will draw in a lot of fans though if they make it a little more playable

So what are yalls updated impressions of this game? Ive played the single player demo, and it got kind of boring running around by myself.. Is it more fun in multiplayer?

I honestly didn't get around to playing it till close to midnight so I don't have much to say. I'll reiterate the sentiment that the graphics aren't all that hot. Animations are pretty good, but everything else is rather bland and simple.

the graphics are nice... but i'm using a less powerful laptop, so i've got it on medium settings... the few seconds i could stand looking at the pretty still images at max settings were nice though...

i'm enjoying playing it, character's a blademaster... but the problem is that i don't level fast enough to keep the game from getting repetitive during the beta, i just had a 5 minute conversation with the a/c guy looking away from my laptop and just clicking the mouse... i turned back to the screen and there were 9-10 dead npcs around me...

oh, and the online stuff is almost invisible to me... since it's all instanced i only see other players at the stations... at that point i'm wondering why even bother having it, although i assume there will be some kind of high-end grouping later down the line

I liked it. It felt like Diablo meets WoW (kinda) meets Doom. It will be interesting to see how they handle the multiplayer aspect. I didn't play much multiplayer Diablo asside from lan games so I don't know how b.net was done.

for some reason the game reminds me of like Phantasy Star Online crossed with Diablo. It's inspired, but the animations are really clunky, so is the interface.

Alot of things don't make sense, there's a sizable memory leak that's affecting lots of players, and the combat action feels kinda 'detached' - I can't explain it, but it's kind of not very thrilling.

I'll play it a bit more b/c I'm only level 5 but I'm a tad bit 'meh' currently.

I picked up my copy today as well, sorry I hadn't posted my impressions from the beta I have been working alot lately. The beta is amazingly fun when you group, getting about 4 or more players in a group makes the difficulty and the number of monsters(i mean a shit ton) sky rocket which adds for some intense battles. I must say that the retail version of the game looks better than the beta and plays better too. It's to bad that the US servers are down on halloween when they are suppose to be throwing all these in game events or something .

I am either on Judicator (Guardian) or Naish (Blademaster) both are around level 10 right now. I'd be interested in starting a new character to group with someone else so that the zone/drops/exp are better.
