oh wow too many.

WoW actually has a lot of great scores. And who can deny that nearly all of the old Mario songs are some of the most recognized video game songs/sounds of all time?

chrono trigger?

^^ i think it goes hand in hand. the great video game music is one that makes you remember the game the moment you hear it imo, or sets the mood great where you can later if you hear that music somewhere you could remember just where you were in game when you heard it

Half Life 2 is really good, but very minimalistic... isnt playing throughout the whole game so when it does kick it its a great effect.

GTA games also have good music.

But for games with original music, the Halo series has some good stuff, as well as the newer Zelda and Mario games.

"Final Fantasy XII"

I will have to disagree. The FF series has always been known for having great in game themes, but the music in XII was boring. It seems like they toned it down to sound like "background music". It didn't stand out at all.

^^^That's true, I miss the character themes and battle music. I still enjoyed what was there though.

^Hell yeah, the cutscenes and intro in the game were incredible. I remember the one when you had to defend the chronosphere and after you beat the mission it showed all the soviet tanks moving in. They were about to blow the shit out of it but then a huge siren went off and it let out tha giant shockwave, then everything was frozen and "black and white".
