The motion steering is taking some getting used to.

The game has none of that total team control bullshit from the previous versions. It feels more like a simulator than an arcade game in that sense. The informative best line feature is really great at helping you pick out the line and speed on new tracks and helps you take advantage of the fabulous analog R2 and L2 buttons. I feel like I have so much more control over throttle and braking. The view draft feature is kinda cool to look at but would function better as a winamp/windows media plug-in than part of the game, it's very distracting. The soundtrack fukken rawks.

does the motion steering work good...i got a ps3 and was interested in the game as i had 07 on ps2 and liked it a lot. it was so hard to drive with the analog stick though. was hoping the motion sensor controllers would really make driving easier.

^^The motion steering is fucking awesome. But don't ever run the first lap in the old-style steering controls or you won't make yourself learn it. No more of that all left or nothing bullshit. You can dive into the corner and depending on how fast you are taking it "feel" your way through it. On a track like Charlotte it's like you're floating around the track and after a few laps the steering becomes intuitive. No more jerky laps.

The COT situation is just like that in real life. The first year you run it on some of the tracks.
