They have the Hives opening for them.

Does anyone else think this is the smartest decision the band has made?

I love the Hives, but I'm not paying $40 to see them play for 20 minutes.

So Maroon 5 are only the smartest band alive in theory, not in practice.

You really wouldn't pay to see them live? I saw Tussles Brussels (their live DVD) and their stage presence came out of the TV. And how often are the Hives going to come anywhere near here? I can guarantee it won't be for a few more years. I'm seriously contemplating seeing them.

I'm not paying that much money for a set that long in a venue that large. I'm just not. They're a small venue band.

And just so you know, I'm not Randy Fitzsimons, either.

saweeeet

their timbaland video is weird

the little steven-narrated thing on tussles in brussels is weird

pelle's excursion on conan was weird

i am sensing a pattern

apparently slovaks are not really fans of pelle's antics

#8 on there is "Supply and Demand" btw.

No idea why it came in unlabeled.

--

Back to the topic of the thread, though; sure, Maroon 5 are going to get some ticket sales from people who would never come to one of their shows, but it's still gonna look bad for them when 1/5th of the crowd skips out after the Hives, or worse, stays and boos Maroon 5 for sport. On top of that (and I know showmanship is becoming a dead art), if they try to pull any stage moves, they'll just look dumb and amateur next to Pelle and Nick.
