Its that time of year again. Training camp and the Gmen are finally not being promoted by the media as the next Super Bowl team. The Giants do better under the radar, and they can't deal with the pressure.

Anyway, I'll get this thing started by asking what the fuck is Strahan up to? Now that he is being charged for everyday he is missing camp, I'm really curious what's going to happen with the guy. We all know he needs the money and probably won't retire, but he's got too much ego to come back with his tail between his legs. That said I hope he gets into camp ASAP because we need him.

Simeon Rice would be a good pickup if Strahan does retire. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic about our season.

I read a rumor on yahoo that Jerome Bettis thinks Cowher will replace Coughlin in 08 if we have a disappointing year. That would be interesting.

I got tired of waiting around for this thread so I made it happen. Rice is in for a physical today, so we'll see what happens.

Apparently Strahan told Shefter or something that he will never play in a Giants uniform again. Said he sees no direction. This guy is really starting to act like a total douche bag, I can't believe it. What the fuck happened to sportsmanship? I guess he's trying to go to a good team so he can try and get a ring or something. Fuck him though. I love the guy guy, but I sure as hell don't want that kind of attitude in the locker room.

I can't believe how all the players are acting on this team. No one shutting up, everyone just going rampant in the media and all that. All sounds like trouble to me.

Where's the chatter on this site? You guys watch the preseason game? What'd you think?

Our defense has a lot of work to do. Kiwi has a lot of work to do. We need Strahan BAD. Tackling was trash.

Offense looked ok. Eli threw a terrible pass (much like every game he's played in) but threw a pretty pass to Shockey for that touchdown. it was nice.

J-Load looked pretty damn solid. 20 yard scamper from him was HILARIOUS, and a great play. Sick fade to Anthony Mix for the TD.

Running backs looked pretty good. Oline needs to get better.

Game on in HD Sunday night with Michaels and Madden. Lets hear something in here gentlemen!

pretty good preseason game last night, other than the injuries. Bummed out that Jennings is out for the year. He was really looking good, especially last night. I love that guy. His future is definitely unknown now.

Eli Manning looked fantastic last night, which is just about the only time I can say that about him. He really impressed me, especially with that TD pass to Steve Smith.

yeah as far as the intangibles go..it COULD be that losing Tiki actually helps, and only a select few have a problem with Coughlin. It could also be that the whole team has given up on Coughlin.

Both of these teams are playing terrible defense as well. It's hard to tell how good the offenses are when the receivers are constantly wide open with no one around them.
