okay, i need a platform to install pfSense onto for a non-profit school
they want to use captive portal to secure their wifi via radius/802.1x auth. right now they're not using anything because it would be too much of a hassle to give all the students one password. i'm integrating their existing student info system with a radius server to give each student a user account.
requirements:
at least 128mb ram at least 400mhz celeron or the like at least 2gb HD
other than that, i don't care. i was gonna go embedded, but no one has stock of the board i need, and i can't spare any of my systems. since the system is a dedicated firewall running on BSD, you don't need impressive specs to get impressive performance. plus, i don't think they could care less as long as they actually HAVE internet.
anyone willing to either donate this or sell for cheap? 8/6/2007 2:10:31 AM |
