how do you guys predict they'll finish for the '07-08 season? I think one of these two teams will make it to a BCS game...and that both will be ranked in teh top 20 by the end of the season....

Hawaii sure is getting a lot of buzz around football talks and they are not even that good.

All they are is another Texas Tech....throw the ball all the time, put up wicked stats, win a game here or there, but never beat anyone worth a damn.

Hawaii has good home field advantage though...aside from having more jetlag than any other trip a team will make for a game, they get lulled into the Hawaiian lifestyle or views and all that

how? i dont see how their "strength of schedule" would even allow that

what are their preseaon rankings....cant be that high
with a weak schedule like this one wouldnt it be damn near impossible for them to be in a BCS game [well maybe the lowest BCS game if they went undefeated]

The BCS hardly even considers strength of schedule, other than how it might sway the pollsters. You can thank Pete Carroll for that. If Hawaii manages to stay undefeated, I think it's plausible that they would get a BCS at-large berth. Not the championship, but an at-large bid a la Boise State.

Boise State defintely deserved a shot last year and it was great watching them win one for the strong middle size programs-Ill defintely be pulling for them this season too (along with my Pack ofcourse)
